I've been living with celiac disease on a gluten-free diet for the last 42 years. 

More importantly, I have the unique vantage point of a person who has lived on this diet as a toddler, child, adolescent, young and mature adult. 
Each of these stages has provided me with a variety of experiences, phases and feelings that provide empathy and understanding.

In addition to extensive practical experience I have had the benefit of learning a great deal from experts in nutrition, gastroenterology and food related industries in researching for my book.
